The masterpieces in the monumental Florentine museum become dishes to be savoured thanks to the initiative “Uffizi da mangiare” (literally “Uffizi for eating”), a new series of short videos in which a noted cook or food personality presents a recipe or prepares a dish live, drawing inspiration from the ingredients depicted in one of the works chosen from the Gallery’s collections.
The series aims to illustrate and deepen the intimate bond which – especially through the intriguing still-life genre – has always linked the visual and culinary arts. From the 17th of January, live every Sunday on the museum’s Facebook page. (www.uffizi.it)
