On the 22nd of April, marking the UN’s International Earth Day, the Future Food Institute and the FAO’s e-learning Academy will organise "Food for Earth", a 24-hour global digital marathon dedicated to sustainability.
After the success of the first edition, which gathered over 100 expert speakers and over 100 thousand participants worldwide, the virtual relay will return, traversing our planet from east to west with the goal of exchanging ideas about the best experiences with sustainable food systems.
Many public figures will contribute. Speakers will include the FAO’s Director General Qu Dongyu, its Deputy Director-General and Special Advisor Maurizio Martina, and Italy’s Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, as well as ministers and other dignitaries from around the world. The event will be live-streamed on the Future Food Institute’s Youtube channel and on the website www.foodforearth.org. (AnsaMed).
