Delegations abroad
Naturally, the culture of Italian cuisine should be extended abroad as well, where too often and for too long Italian cuisine and Italian products have been ignored or in any case underestimated. Valorising typical products, making them known, divulging the preparation and tasting of that which Italy has been able to produce in the gastronomical field, also means defending one's own cultural identity, being in a position to claim respect for them and to strengthen the image of quality. Thus, the Accademia has organised itself beyond the borders of its own country, in order to guarantee its presence and carry out its activities in many parts of the world. This is why, over the past few years, the Accademia has intensified its own action abroad, by multiplying the Delegations and uniting the most qualified exponents of the professional and cultural fields among resident compatriots - more than 1000 - in order to carry out, in the name of the convivial hospitality of the good Italian table, a work of great utility for the image and interests of the country.
