The prestigious prize, conceived by Giuseppe Benelli, Vice-President of the Franco Marenghi Study Centre, has President Paolo Petroni among its major jury members, and was assigned on 25 October.
The winners’ announcement ceremony took place against the striking backdrop of the Dosi Magnavacca Palace in Pontremoli.
Francesca Grazioli won the prestigious statuette of Saint John of God, the patron saint of booksellers, for La moneta bianca (The White Coin), published by Il Saggiatore.
In second place was Sugo (Sauce) by Mariachiara Montera, published by Blackie Edizioni; tied for third place were A tavola con l’arte culinaria al teatro e al cinema (Culinary Art: the table, the theatre and the cinema) by Salvatore Schiavone, published by Cacucci Editore, and Haveli: l’India nel piatto (Haveli: India on a plate) by Giotti Singh, published by Il Forchettiere.
